Ahhh the warm weather. We are so ready for spring. So any hint of warmth and we are outside. My mom got the kids this water table before she left and Avery LOVES it! It occupies her for hours at a time. I don't think she quite gets the concept of just playing in the water. She basically just enjoys taking cups full of water and pouring them all over the deck, herself, her brother, the plants, in the house, anywhere she can get to. But alas, although she and the rest of the vicinity may be soaking wet after, anything that keeps her from climbing onto the breakfast table and attempting to test her flying skills (happens daily, believe me) is a welcome respite. Thanks Nana! We've also been out playing with bubbles and going for walks. The only problem with the bubbles is that Avery immediately wants to take the bubble wand from me and show off her bubble blowing skills. However, she hasn't quite gotten it down yet, and really just puts it in her mouth, getting a big bite of bubble stuff, which makes her cry. Then she tries to wipe it off, the bubble stuff gets all over her hands, which she then uses to rub her eyes free of the tears she has cried. Which of course is not a good idea. So she gets so frustrated, she kicks over the bubble bottle, and crying we head back inside to try to wash her off. Oh the joys of being a mom. Love it!
