Bonding with Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa had a great time showing Ethan the ropes in NM. My mom took Ethan sledding and had as much fun as Ethan and my dad was so excited to take him for a ride on the grader. You can imagine how excited Ethan was to be able to go for an actual ride in a "tractor". He had a blast!

More Family Fun

We made an unexpected trip to Artesia to visit my sister Judy and her family while I was in NM. Here are some pics from that trip - including possibly one of the only known pics of my mom willingly posing for the camera. Also, one of my faves, of my dad and sister playing the wii. We had a blast. Also, a group pic of everyone eating an interesting "cajun" dinner in which plates and forks are not necessary and the food is merely layed on the table on a paper mat - lots of fun. And last but not least my dad blowing out his birthday candles (with a little help)!

Cousins!

Here is Ethan having a blast with his cousins Gavin and Mason. My niece Kammee and her husband were visiting while we were in NM and Ethan had so much fun playing with his 2 older cousins. They went sledding together and had a great time. We really miss them and wish they lived closer!

Sledding Fun

Okay so these pics are a little bit hilarious because my hair is flying wildly behind me, but I thought the facial expressions were priceless and too good not to post. We had a complete blast sledding down this hill by my house in NM. Ethan loved sledding and loved the snow.

Snow Fun in New Mexico!

Ethan absolutely loved playing in the snow when we went to New Mexico after Christmas.  He definitely missed dad, but had fun with all of his NM family and being able to play outside so much.

Here are some pictures of Ethan with his cool new train set. I have to admit I was one of those crazy moms searching desperately for just the right train set for my son this year. I had some definite battles to get this one and had basically given up on getting it for Ethan (it was out of stock all over the country and I was definitely not paying the outrageous price people were trying to mark it up to on eBay). But then Jay called and he had stopped at a Toys 'r Us out by where he is doing his training and they had one in stock that wasn't showing on the computers! So we were able to get Ethan the perfect gift and it has definitely continued to provide hours and hours of entertainment since then. He absolutely loves trains!

Blog Slacker

Wow- 3 months without a post.  What a slacker I am.  Well, in my defense, alot has been going on.  As most of you know we are planning our move, Jay is out of town except for the weekends on training and I am expecting baby number 2, creating the perfect storm of stress and craziness, so blogging has been low on my priority list.  However, I really do want to get caught up.  So there is going to be a smattering of pics from the last 3 months in my desperate attempt to get caught up and hopefully keep you all updated more.

So here are some pics of our handsome boy, getting so big.  He had a great Christmas that lasted about 3 weeks.  In fact he started asking for presents every morning when he would wake up because he got Christmas Eve presents at home, Christmas Day presents, then when we went to Nana's, more present opening.  Then even more at Nona's.  So it was a 3 week present marathon.  But he had a great Christmas and it is so fun having him get so excited over presents.
