Volcano Island

Brooke, Sydney and Carson came back from Virginia Beach with us and we went to this really fun water park called Volcano Island. Here are the cousins all together!

Virginia Beach

We took a trip to Virginia Beach to visit Brooke, Eric, Sydney and Carson and had a great time! we went to the beach, which the kids absolutely loved and went to the aquarium, which I think is one of the best kids outings ever!

Ethan's 5th Birthday!

Of course this year's birthday theme for Ethan was Angry Birds! He absolutely loves Angry Birds right now - it's a little obsessive! The only thing he every draws is Angry Birds!

The party favors! I was actually quite proud of my handiwork in making these! It was a serious amount of work and I wouldn't do it again! My finger hurt so bad from stitching these beaks on! But the kids loved them and Ethan was really excited!
We took all the kids mini-golfing, one of Ethan's favorite past times. It was a really, really hot day, but the kids still had fun!


After the golfing, we came back to the house and had hot dogs and cake before cooling off on the water slide. It was a really great party and everyone had a great time!

Avery's First Pigtails!

This was the first day I was able to put her hair in anything! Finally growing! She is just the cutest little girl I have ever seen!

I just love this little girl! Look at those knees! Kinda reminds me of a little boy I knew at this age! Proof of a fun summer!

Sports Camp!

This summer Ethan did a sports camp with his good friend Tyler. They tried out all kinds of different sports and basically just ran around playing! Ethan loved it!

Theater in the Woods

This was at the Theater in the Woods. It is literally a theater in the woods with shows just for kids. We went to a really cute puppet show that the kids loved! It was a super hot day, but luckily since it is in the forest it is shaded and not too unbearable!

Splash Pad!

This little fountain park is also another favorite in the summer. The kids have so much fun running around filling buckets, squirting each other. And we picnic on the grass and talk! It is a great place! I love where we live!

4th of July 2011 Festivities!

This year on the 4th we went to our friends, the Bunkers for a barbecue and fireworks and then walked over the bigger fireworks show put on by Ashburn Village. It was a perfect day with good friends, lots of food and fun! The kids loved doing their own little fireworks and sparklers, but also really loved the big fireworks display. I was a little nervous with Avery because the last fireworks we went to when she was smaller, she kinda freaked out, but she did fine as long as I was holding her! The kids all had glow sticks, which they loved! What a great day!
