Lemonade Stand!

Kate and Davis came to visit before we went on our North Carolina vacation together and we decided to have a Lemonade stand in the neighborhood. The kids had so much fun making a sign and setting up their stand. We got quite a bit of business and were able to refrain from eating all of the profits! I love summer!

Movies at the Pool!

Our community had a pool movie night, which was so much fun! The kids got to sit around the pool, eat popcorn and watch a movie! Nonna and pop pop were here to go with us to North Carolina for our family vacation, which made it even more fun. Our great friends the Thuesons were there, so Ethan and Avery had Joey and Jackson to play with.

Avery's Antics

There is a never ending battle between poor Ethan and his destructive sister. He is a builder, she is a demolisher. He built this great marble tower and I hear a crash and know exactly what happened. So I call for Avery and walk into Ethan's room to find her "hiding" here, the marble tower of course in ruins. But she is just too funny hiding here to get too upset with her!

And one day I hear her walking down the stairs, calling me and find that she has put on her brother's underwear and a shoe. She is so funny!

Prince William Fair and Demolition Derby!

This was our 3rd annual trip to the Prince William County Fair and Demolition Derby, one of our favorite events! The kids had a great time petting the animals and eating Kettle Corn and watching the awesome Demolition Derby!

Ethan learning all about worms! He was so excited because he loves playing with worms at our house and here were a whole bucket full for him to hold!

Happy 7th Anniversary!

For our 7th Anniversary, Jay and I had a great night out to our favorite restaurant - Ruth's Chris. Yum!

Redskins Training Camp!

The Redskins practice field and training camp are right here down the street from where we live and Jay took Ethan this year and he had a really great time! He got a ball signed by many of the players and got to have his own little "training camp"! I love seeing Ethan and Jay have their boy time together!

We took a break from the heat and went bowling with some good friends from the ward. Ethan LOVES to bowl! Avery likes to try also, but mostly she just looked really cute!

Backyard Summer Fun!

Again this year, the water slide provided hours of entertainment and fun. One kid wound up with a pretty bad black eye, but other than that, it was a really great time! I love watching these guys just play! And Avery is hilarious on her little slide into the pool we set up!

Tomatoes!

Despite Avery picking most of tomatoes long before they were ripe, a few did actually make it! I was able to make a really yummy red sauce for pasta out of these little guys! Hopefully next year we will get even more when Avery learns not to pick the green ones!
