So happy together......

These two are just the cutest little ones in the world. We have just been having so much fun together lately. It is so fun to watch them grow, yet I just want them to stop growing! Ethan is such a sweet big brother and I just love watching them interact - although sometimes poor Avery gets a little too much love....

Meant to be....?

2 Days Old
7 Months old

So we had lunch the other day with my good friend Katrina, who you may recall had her little guy, Grant on the same day, same hospital, same doctor as Avery - it is meant to be. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but poor Grant had to wait a little bit to be born because our doctor was busy with Avery's emergency crazy delivery. But I guess he should get used to it -if they wind up together some day, he'll probably be waiting on her a bunch! Patience is a virtue and luckily my husband has lots of it! So anyways, I have decided Avery and Grant are written in the stars. But it doesn't look like they have a complaint so far - you will notice in the picture they are gazing into each other's eyes, holding hands. And this bottom picture with the three little ones is when we had a play group at our house and this is Will (my friend Becky's little boy), Grant and Avery. My favorite part about it is that Grant is pushing Will, like "This is my girl - back off!" They are cute!

Take that weed!

So we had this gigantic weed-tree in the front yard that Ethan and I decided to take on last week. It was literally the size of a tree. So with a lot of cutting and a little bit of muscle, we came out the victors in the fight with the weed tree. As soon as we get this front landscaping done I'll post some before and after pics. Here's what Avery did during the action. She is a great cheerleader!

Our New Backyard!

The best thing about having a backyard? A sandbox and a swing! Here are Ethan and Avery's favorite parts of the new house. We are planning to build a real sandbox for Ethan, but this was here already, so Ethan is of course taking full advantage. And we put up this little swing for Avery, which she loves!

The park with nana!

It has been so great having my mom here. Ethan loves her and has so much fun playing with her. I love that even though we live so far away from the grandparents Ethan knows each of them and frequently talks about nana and nona and papa and pop-pop.

Avery - growing and growing!

Avery is such a beautiful little girl! I can't believe my baby is getting so big! Here are some updates:

- She is sitting up! She still rolls around like a little egg, but she is getting better and better

-She is still not the best sleeper. Things have improved a ton since she now has her own room, but she is still wanting to eat once or twice a night.

- She loves to watch Ethan - from afar! Ethan is such a sweet big brother and just about smothers her with love. But when she is watching him play she is just so happy! I love watching the two of them.

- If anything is in a 3 foot vicinity you can bet it will be in her mouth. She is so funny - she almost does this little growl when she is trying to get something in her mouth.

She is such a joy and we are so blessed to have her and Ethan!

Cherry Blossom Festival

In the 4 or so years we have been here this is the first year I have missed out on the Cherry Blossoms! We went just a day or 2 late and the white blossoms had already bloomed and fallen off. I was quite disappointed, but the few pink trees were gorgeous.
