Easter Morning

In our family, my parents always hid our Easter Basket and we searched for it on Easter morning. So that is what we do also. Ethan has a great time searching for his basket and of course was way way too spoiled with Easter gift and candy - with 2 grandparents in town we may as well schedule an appointment with the dentist now!

Easter Egg Hunt

We were so lucky because for Easter we had both Nana and Nona with us! It was so much fun having them here and they once again shared very well - they were also here together when Ethan was born and they always laughed about how they were sharing very well. This time they at least had 2 little ones to share! For Easter we went to an Easter Egg Hunt in our community that didn't go so well - they didn't have enough eggs! But Ethan got a couple and had a lot of fun running anyways. Here are some pictures from afterward of us and of the kids with the nana and the nona. In case you have never been to Virginia/Washington DC in the spring it is a must! It is so gorgeous this time of year. The Cherry Blossoms are one of my most favorite things about DC.

Catching up on the blog!

So between moving into our new house (yeah!) and Avery getting sick and winding up in the hospital a month ago with RSV (she is fully recovered and doing great and I have a whole new appreciation for being on the other side of the stethoscope now) and trying to get our new house in order, my blogging has really suffered. So here goes a short marathon of blogging to catch up!

I'm not sleepy part 3

In the ongoing saga of Ethan's crazy sleeping habits these days, the other day I was trying to get him to come to his room to get ready for bed. He was putting up a fight and saying, of course "I'm not tired mom!" As I am picking up a few things, I come across this! I guess he was kinda tired! Silly little guy!

Ready for Church!

They were just too cute! We had to take a picture!

Our Beautiful Girl!

Avery is just the most adorable baby in the world. A few updates of Avery:

She is rolling like a crazy baby! You never know where she'll end up.

She is very opinionated as to what she will eat or not eat. When I feed her solids I have to give her a tiny taste of whatever it is to start out with. Then she will decide if she will have any more or not. If she doesn't want it, she just spits it right back out at me. If she likes it (bananas, carrots) she keeps her mouth wide open and I can't get it in fast enough!

She is making all kinds of noises! She does the cutest little squeals.

She found her feet and she loves to eat them! I love it! I am going to find a picture of Ethan with his feet when he was her age because they are so cute when they eat their feet!

She watches her brother with such adoration in her eyes - until he attacks her with love and then she is squealing for me to rescue her.

She loves to be held - all the time!

She is not a good sleeper! This could be a function of her still sleeping in our room - we are moving into our house this weekend and can't wait for her to have her own space! Mom and Dad are not happy with the amount of sleep we are currently getting!

She is the cutest little girl and we just love her!

Ethan's Antics

Ethan has been such a trickster recently. Here are just a few of his antics. From hiding in the refrigerator to always wanting to eat breakfast with an audience on hand (his trains) and crawling around the house under a box pretending he's a turtle, he keeps us entertained! He is such a fun little guy!
