All Grown Up!

It's official - my little Misty isn't little anymore!  I guess I should have to come to that conclusion when she got married, but now she has graduated from BYU too!  Wow that make me feel old - my little niece is married and a college grad!

April was a busy month.  First the Bischoff cousins visiting from Boston, then Aunty Mac and Aunty C came to visit from LA and Philly respectively and then we were off to Utah for a week.  Then the day after we got back Nona and Papa arrived from LA to play and help us move!  So it was a crazy crazy month.  So here goes my effort to get caught up!  Here are some pics of the Aunties playing with Ethan - he absolutely loved them both so much.  All 3 of them managed to fit into his little play tent, which he thought was the coolest thing ever.  And then they made him into a toilet paper head monster to scare mom - hilarious.  It was so sad - the night they left we went out to dinner in Alexandria and as soon as we got in the car to leave them, he starting crying and saying "I want my big friends!  I want my big friends to come to my home!".  It was heartbreaking, but I love how great they are with Ethan - it's always a party when Aunty C and Aunty Mac are around!

Hanging with the Bischoffs

Eric, Brooke, Sydney and Carson came to visit from Boston on a last trip before making the move back to the West Coast and we had so much fun.  These are some pictures from a day when we went to Roosevelt Island and took a little nature hike around the island.  Ethan and Sydney have so much fun together, we are sad they will be so far away!

Easter

Our Easter tradition (which came from my family) is that we hide a fun easter basket with toys and prizes and candy on Easter morning and Ethan has to find it.  So here he is finding his easter basket.  He is so handsome in his little Easter outfit!

Easter Eggs!

Our play group had a fun Easter Egg hunt.  He loved it and probably got more than his fair share of eggs.  Here is also a picture of Ethan and Dad coloring easter eggs together.

Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossom time is hands down my favorite time of year in DC.  This year we went to see the Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin with our ward play group and had a great time.  The walk around the tidal basin is quite a ways, but it is so gorgeous and the combination of the monuments, the water and the cherry blossoms is amazing.  If you have never seen it before, it is a must see!

Kite Festival

We went to the kite festival on the National Mall and had such a great time.  It was still a little chilly (this was in March), but it was a blast.  They gave away these small kites, so we had fun playing with that.  And Ethan loved seeing the kites so much we were inspired to go out and buy our own kite, which we flew with limited success the next day at home!
